Where Movement Becomes Community
Learn Capoeira through music, play, and disciplined training—designed for beginners, kids, and lifelong movers.
Our Story
Capoeira ATL is an Atlanta-based academy dedicated to preserving and teaching Capoeira Regional, the tradition founded by Mestre Bimba in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Our school is part of Filhos de Bimba – Escola de Capoeira, an organization led by Mestre Nenel that maintains the cultural, musical, and educational legacy of Capoeira's African roots.
Here, training goes beyond movement—students learn rhythm, instruments, language, discipline, and a cultural tradition that has shaped communities around the world.
Train With Us
Training at Capoeira ATL blends movement, rhythm, and community in an environment that welcomes all experience levels. Students learn foundational sequences, traditional instruments, and the flow of the game through structured and supportive instruction. Strength, confidence, and coordination develop naturally over time as training becomes a shared experience of music, culture, and personal growth. Whether you are beginning for the first time or returning to deepen your practice, this is the place to start.
